- On the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi to fulfill gap of skilled force in various sector, a special programme has been launched by TEVTA “Hundermund Punjab Programme”, for which Rs. 65 crore has been allocated.
- It is phased vise programme in which one lakh students have been prepared and imparted them technical trained free of cost in various technical institutions.
- Under this programme students have been provided Rs. 500 to 1000 stipend per month while during training free material have been provided to them so that they could feel no burden. This programme has been launched in 2006-07 and its last badge is now under training which will be completed this month.
- Under this programme the various courses like Mason, Shuttering Carpenter, Steel Fixture, Domestic Electrician, Diesel Engine Mechanic, Building Painter, Welder, Construction Fabricator, Plumber House Carpenter in Construction Centre and Auto Mechanic, Motorcycle Mechanic, Industrial Fitter, Machine Operator, Turner and Molder courses in Auto and Mechanical Sector. The repair of electronic equipments industrial electrician, domestic repair of electric equipments and motor winding courses have been introduced in Electric and Electronic sector while Industrial Stitching Machine Operator has been introduced in Textile Sectors.
