PUNJAB HOUSING AND TOWN PLANNING AGENCY
            The National Housing Policy, 2001 brings into a sharp focus the need for development of Low Cost Housing. It was expedient that such policy guidelines be followed through an effective institutional mechanism at the provincial level. For the purpose, a Punjab Housing and Town planning Agency has been established under the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency Ordinance, 2002 w.e.f. 01.04.2004. The Agency carved out of the existing resources (of H&PP) inter alia would act as a facilitator for the District Governments /TMAs to help them perform their functions in the field of spatial planning, development and housing.
PROVINCIAL LAND USE PLAN
            Work on the Provincial Land Use Plan to establish a comprehensive system of spatial planning in the province has been initiated. The consultants have been engaged for preparation of the PC-1.

PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SERVANTS HOUSING FOUNDATION
The Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation has been established to resolve the housing problems being faced by the Government Servants. The main objective of the Foundation is to provide a house to a Government Servant on retirement. Work on PGSH scheme at Mohlanwal is in progress. Whereas, the second scheme is being initiated at Faisalabad.
RAWALPINDI PRESS CLUB JOURNALISTS HOUSING COLONY
A scheme measuring 200 Acre for journalists has been initiated at Lohi Bher, Rawalpindi. The Chief Minister inaugurated it on 20.11.2006.
LAHORE SPORTS CITY
A joint venture scheme (Lahore Sports City) comprising 3000 Acre in the North of Lahore has been planned in collaboration with Bukhatir investment Ltd. Work for identification of the site has been commenced by NESPAK.
